Testimonial Snapshot #7
From: Chris, Leesburg, VA
Snapshot: For a very long time, years, I wrestled with the concept of God’s provision. The bible is full of promises and acts of provision. My idea of the provision was primarily materialistic – and thankfully he always provided enough at the perfect time. But there was more, there is more. Over time, he began to help guide me to what he wanted most. He used people, circumstances, scripture, and revelation in prayer all driving to the richest of all his provision – relationship! As a father calls to his son – to engage and participate in living life with and through Jesus by the Holy Spirit. When it finally dawned on my heart what I had considered complex became clear.
In the Gospel of Matthew (6:33), it is written – But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Now, when I am challenged by first-world issues of provision I dive back to this verse – check my heart and motive and share with him – just what it is I think it is I need. Once that is done, I let God be God, then carry on in faith. This is was how Jesus helped grow my faith and trust in Him as the answer to everything!
Scriptural Reference: Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
