Encourage One Another

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25

One step in the journey is extending our reach to other Christians walking out their faith in the professional settings. I had the pleasure of meeting a new connection on LinkedIn by way of a hashtag. That is #jesuschrist. Just off a phone call with this connection and left prayed up and encouraged – with a new friend for eternity. Imagine that!

Resources and Reserves

During our conversation, we shared abridged testimonies of coming to faith in Christ, and books, authors, and scripture. One chapter in Isaiah, 58 was suggested, and what a great word. One section in particular resonated:

The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Had I not engaged and shared time in fellowship this verse would have had to wait until who knows when. The Lord called in support and my new friend shared what was only recently shared with him – in the context of Business as Mission.

Onward and Upward

It is my honor and duty to serve the King of kings – and that means in my home, with family and friends – and people we only meet in passing (like at business networking events.) As a follower of Jesus, we have something to give and share – be encouraged and share the good news.
